yes yes and yes..

ek9/ek1/ek4/em1/ej8 all share the same chassis shape and engine bay

you can buy, ek9 coilovers/struts/seats/pretty much anything, and it'll fit in a coupe..

other than the axleback muffler/rear lights/boot , everything is pretty much the same

Wrong!

EJ8 shares the same lower 'front' arms as the EG civics. To make and EK4 or 9 swaybar fit you need to replace them with the EK counterparts. They are one peice press moulded front arms, where as EJ8 are 2 peice cast jobs like all EGs.

As for the rear yes they will bolt up.

Oh and also you will need the lower forks that fit on the bottom of your shocks, as your Ej8 ones wont fit around the EK lower arms. You can use either some EK ones, or CRV 97-00 spec ones will suffice.

I found this all out when doing my swap into my coupe.

Can I ask where do you get your info from Trip?

Great info.....:) i have the same problem too!.....so if i want to fit the fount sway bar i need to get the EK4 fount lower arm....is that what u mean? and u mention the CRV lower arm.....u sure can fit into EJ8 as well? are they hard to find compare with the EK4 one? which will be less costly?

Well you need the front lower arm off the EK, not 100% about the CRV ones though. And you will also need the Y-Fork that attaches to the bottom of your shock. You can use either the EK one or the CRV one as they are the same part number.

Ill try get some piccies.

Well hhis is just posted from experience not opinion. I performed a Ek4 conversion into my coupe myself. So I know everybit that can or cant go somewhere. Very hard to find this out without trial and error.

Any more Q's feel free to PM.

how much work is it to change all the above parts, like lower control arms and forks etc... could i do it myself?

You need a 19mm, 17mm and 14mm sockets and spanners.

Well if you don't trust your own skills get someone else to do it. I would rate this job way easier than doing a full suspension install. Would take less than an hour.

Well EJ1 civic is the (EG coupe) so the EJ8 is still in the same family. I think the EM1 is the same as EK.

Question... i have a whitline awaybar to suit a EK series and i have a EJ8... can i just replace the swaybar links with ones from a eg? My swaybars ends are horizontal where as the EK ones are vertical. So if i got straight link pins with a 90degree head to bolt through the bar would this work?
