Hi All,

Just lost 2 front tyres due to my car being lowered and the camber is about -3 degrees, the insides of both have worn so much the wire was poking out and luckily deflated AFTER i got off the M2..

What I need to know is where the best place to get adjustable camber kits for the upper wishbones. Skunk ect make some but not for the DA9, i have measured a set of EK ones and the mounting points are a different spacing.

Any ideas as I am about to get 4 new tyres and dont want the same issue again.

Cheers

Chris

Yeah, saw that but i cant find anything on US Ebay that says the Skunk one fit a DA9, and including postage is still around $120 cheaper than this guy, was thinking may still have to buy a set and then get them grafted onto a DA9 set of arms

Thanks, maybe will have to get a pair custom made, I can't believe Honda does so many cool engineering things but never thought people might want to lower their cars and would need camber adjustment..

did u ever get a wheel alignment?

my lowered da doesnt wear out tyres too much. I just make sure the toe settings are correct.

Yah, have had alignment front and rear, you can see the tyres dont sit anywhere near flat on the road, thats why I want the adjustment, sure it went round corners and embarressed a few Subarus and the like, but i cant afford to be replacing tyres like this, I was hoping to finish my brake conversion soon, but the money will now be on the camber :)

my teg wears out the tyres a lot less since i got the toe adjusted didn't even touch the camber. take it to somewhere that specialises in lowered cars and even race setups, for ages i just took it to bob janes and such and all they do is align it to spec and dont allow for the lowering finally took it to a place that specialises in race cars and bingo there goes my tyre wear problem.

BTW that wear looks like your tyre has been running on too low psi and has chewed through the sidewall my rear had a slow leak once and could not tell it was deflated from the side cos of the camber until i pulled up at the lights once and the back end dropped down as it blew!

I personally would atay away from Ebay stuff, go to Kmac they make a good package for DA9s, I've had these in my car since my bro owned the car over 10yrs ago and still can be adjusted to 1.8 deg, and if you have seen my car it is really sssssllllaaaaammmmmmeeeeeedddddddd they have lasted the test of time and are still in good nick, 10 out of 10................

hmmm u can only adjust the front 1.8 degrees ?
coz my front is between -3.5 to -4.. does that mean i can only reduce that by 1.8deg with K-mac ?

nope it means that the totall I can get is -1.8 due to the ride height of my car, if it where to be higher it would be able to have close to +2 deg it all really depends on how high your car is, mine is pretty much between 65mm - 70mm of the ground wich is almost a coke can on its belly....

Hey, can you post some pikkys of what they look like? I think it's the way i will go, unless I can get some Skunk ones and modify them, but it seems the Kmac option would be good.

Thanks to everyone for throwing in ideas and experience, I hope to have it sorted soon, will probably do the washer and longer bolt thing for the back, until I can get some of those groovy adjustable ones. Will post pikkys and reviews and costs when i do ( and definately get a good wheel alignment done)

All they really are is a replacement for the bolts on the front upper control arm, what they do is alter the angle of the control arm thus giving the desiered camber angle, here is a link http://www.k-mac.com/

Yeehahh, we have a winner, thanks so much, this is what I am after and never thought anyone would actually make them, now to sell some crap on Ebay to pay for them haha

Wife has gone nuts on finding out how much its gonna cost to do 4 tyres and front and rear camber, she is really not a car person, thats why I am training my 9 month old daughter now, I want her to become as famous as the pair of girls driving the Sileighty in Initial D haha

Cheers

I have ordered the arms, they are $159 US plus $65 US shipping, interesting news is that I asked them if the want a distributor here, and they said they already have a warehouse here that will be doing it, so maybe in the coming months there will be someone here in Oz selling cool suspension stuff for DA Tegs that doesnt cost millions..
