Has anyone had any experience with the Pioneer GPS system? If you dont know what im talking about ill put the links down below. Basically you buy one of their DVD HUs and then attach this to it and you can use it for GPS guidance. Problem is, on the site it doesnt show any examples of the system in operation. I like the navigation units ran on WhereIs, but theyre all external units, i want an internal one. Are there ones out there you can just plug into the back of any monitor? I dont have to get a pioneer HU btw, im just weighing up options before i spend my cash.

it's not a satnav system - the vehicle dynamics processor is basically a fancy display for speed, revs and other stuff onto the screen ... it has a gps for vehicle position orientation but not navigation ... if you want a nav system , the in vehicle system manufacturers (vdo dayton, blaupunkt, maybe also clarion, eclipse etc) should be able to do a nav computer with aftermarket screen adaptor kit for you (use your own screen with av inputs) i sell the vdo and blaupunkt sets and i know they do a kit like this .... however this is an expensive option - around $3000 approx , a portable nav system is a lot cheaper - navman and tomtom can start under $500 .... personally I prefer the incar type of nav system but its a massive difference in price

as for the pioneer vehicle dynamics processor - look out for a pioneer dealer - most of the bigger shops will have a demo unit in their display - or look for a pioneer demo car at a carshow near you - most of them have the units in there ...

hope this helps
