ey i just bought a pioneer dvd unit in-dash screen, and im lookin to install it my self, just wodnering if its the same way to set it up as a nomal mp3 head unit??! cos i did that my self it was pretty easy but never done a dvd be4, so yea just wondering if they r the same

pretty much the same thing

should have the handbrake wire to blank the screen while driving
but thats probably the main extra wire

follow the instructions you shouldn't have any problems

In terms of wiring up the unit, there no more complicated than a normal head unit (give or take a couple of extra wires for handbreak/reverse camera etc) Most in-dash DVD players come with a command box (large box that houses all the main electronics that couldn't fit in the single din) Its usually re-routing wires and locating this that makes it more complicated. To the hand break if you want it to be legal ;-) Its just an earthing wire.

i didnt connect my hand break one. gets anooying. you'll probally unplug it anyways
