View Full Version : How Much Would I get $$$ For My 96 Teg VTiR?????

i have a 96 model integra VTiR i was thinking of selling it. it's got 17 inch ROH adrenalin rims, low profile tyres. a jetspeed custom full body kit (bomex mock up), paint is a custom maroon, with a purple pearl. a black GT wing. clear tail lights, K & N Filter, sports exhaust system, with mufler (6 Inch Barrel, 4 and 1/2 inch tip), Apexi V-AFC with stand. Razo short shift kit. it's got 171,000Ks on it, bit high but hondas goes for ages before u get problems. Manual Transmission, obvessiously!!. How Much would i get for this my car if i was to sell it?????

modified cars don't pump up the price unless if it's probably one of those 300 atw cars...and plus your car is a 1996 model with that many kilometres...i'd say about 16-17k

Yea another factor is that has the car been in any accidents? How many owners prior to you (if any)

Don't mean to be rude etc and cause any friction, but dude - what's with the GT wing??? That thing is ugly. I voted for the lowest bracket - you'd probably get more for it if you converted it back to stock. Personally I would not buy it - but nice paint job though...

I agree but generally mods do not bump up the market value of a car as that is generally an indication that the car has been thrashed!

Mate if I was buying that the first thing I would have a niggle bout is removing that wing, then cos there will be hole there, I would want a new bootlid (I am fussy and wouldnt just patch it up with filler then sand and repaint) then there is the problem of respraying the panel to match that custom paint. Other than that the kit and wheels are nice (I have a very big soft spot for ROH Adrenalins). altezzas ..... meh dont like em, but thats not too much of a deal. Kays are high, considering I picked up my 93 DC2 gsi with 125 k's on it last year for 9k. I would reckon you could get around 12-14 k for it.

Look, if he converted it back to stock - who knows what he could get. I reckon he could get around 16k if he just made it stock. Altezzas gotta go, same with the wing - and I've never been a fan at kitting up DC2's unless its with the Honda lips etc and type R spoiler. And maybe the the stock 15" wheels back on it and sell the rims seperately. Once again - like the colour though. :D

can u people actually see the picture of my car????? becos i have problems with it, it doesn't come up on screen ,andmy mate says he can't see it on his computer either, but if u guys see the gt wing on my teg, i think u wont mind it, but thanx for the positive feedback on the paint job, at first i was abit suspect on the colour but i am really starting to like it, especially in the sun ;)

i rekn the car looks alrite, but the mods as most others said might work against you...
if you return it to stockish kinda...you might get approx 15k'ish

Dude, if you're gonna sell it - return all of it back to stock, and sell the other parts seperately. You'll probably be able to sell most parts off in here - besides the GT wing... you may have a few probs with that - you might actaually have to pay for someone to take it off you. :roll:

YeahI agree with most of the replies. Since cars are getting cheaper now, you can probably expect about 15ish if you're lucky. Also, are you gonna sell it with a RWC? Might be hard to one with that wing though ;)

Road Worthy Certificate. It means he is in either Victoria or Queensland (?), and that I'm not driving your sorry ass up North or down South to buy it... ;)
Dude I suggest you return the car to stock in order to reach a wider buyer market, however the kit etc might pose a problem. If that's the case, you might have to try and sell it as-is.

I think the car looks alright but yeh get rid of the wing. My civic was slightly mod and i did have a hard time selling it but finally did. There will be people out there who wants a mod car for the right price, good luck.

Well I ain't looking to sell my car i like it too much, gonan turbo it next year, i was just seeing what people think of my car, and what it's worth, so thanks to peoplw who have a optimistic view aobut it, but the rest of u's suck a fat one, well i pick the car up for $14K so i was happy about that. :)

Hahah, so harsh! I reckon it looks ok, the paint is schmick, and the kit isnt bad. Prob ditch the GT wing, but otherwise I dig it...sell it for $12k and I will buy it off you tomorrow

I would never buy this DC2 knowing a the things I know about it - the paint job is good but the kit is shizen.
Oh and the GT wing sucks arse.
Oh and let's not forget the altezzas.

i rekon that you wouldtn get much for this car.. prob. 16k..
theres too much kms on it.. average at the NRMA is 20k per year.. alot of ppl
are under the average, and this... the car should average at 120-140k kms
not trying to diss you or nething.. but yeh.. thats what i think..

well i just picked up my 96 gsi with 130km for 13k and with yours being vtir i guess you should be aiming at least 2.5K more than that price. But then again as everyone said the mods do affect the pricing. I would have not bought the car if it had any mods or even body kit, leaves too much for the buyer to think about. Hope this helps
