Are they the same side skirts anyone?

Has anyone had experience with installing these skirts yourself? Can anyone point me to a direction please :D

No they're a different design -- but I assume the mounting points will be the same.

Only the front and rear bumpers have changed on the 06. The side skirts will fit, there are TSX and Euro skirts in google that specify they fit on 04-06, and I cant see why Honda would change the chassis/mounts on the 06 MMC.

cool!

hmm anyone got some DIY side skirt install guide?

Coz it looks like it's a few screws on both ends, 4 xlips at the bottom and it slides from the front wheel, and it rail down.

He has the basic stock 06 ones on at the moment, and wants to replace them with the "sports" 05 ones you get from Honda as an option/accessory. (I think)

If not then maybe he damaged his stock 06 one(s) and wants to replace them with the stock 05's.

...hmm kindof confused myself

hehe the latter one

yeah I dmged my 06 stock ones and I want to replace them but I only got hold of the 05 stock ones. I think I took 1 corner a bit hard and scratched bits of it from a high curb at the end of the skirt (ouch)

ouch indeed, sorry to hear...

i'm waiting for some replica skirts to come out! wanna get the side and the rear skirts...

and is it just me, or does the front skirts on the 2006 euros not make much of a significant difference like the 2005 ones?

It should be pretty easy. Have a look at the new skirts and locate the screw points etc.., and use that information to remove the existing ones.

Well, well, well. 2003-2005's stock side strip is actually a bit different to 2006 's stock side strip... I am not talking about optional side skirt, but the stocko.

2006 stock side skirt flare out more & gives more sporty look.. where as 03-05 side skirt just go straight down.

And just for your info, with 2006 model, you can get 3 different side skirts from Honda.. there are Stock, Euro Sport, and optional side skirt (call Modulo in Japan). I am sure there are many other aftermarket versions available too. eg mugen.

PNR888, the optional side skirt (Modulo) that you are talking about - is this the one that's available as part of the optional OEM Bodykit from Honda?

By that I mean the bodykit that's pictured on the Honda Euro Accessories brochure for 2006 and on their website

On the topic of sideskirts - does anybody know which particular set / brand they use for the Euro Sport OEM?

You are correct! Honda Australia uses Modulo body kits (which are made by honda anyway) as genuine OEM optional body kits for Aussie market.

The difference between 06 stock side skirt and Euro Sport side skirt is very hard to spot the difference unless you have 2 cars side by side and play "spot the difference". I had the opportunity to do so at a Honda demo day. They are difinitely different.

Which skirts do the Euro Sport use out of curiosity? I don't even know if the Type-R skirts are the same as the OEM/modulo as I haven't had a really close look.

All I know is it does look good!

When I took delivery of my 06 Graphite Euro Lux there was a Sports version right next to it - honestly speaking even close up - the stock 06 skirts and front and rear under spoilers look almost the same as the Sports - they are just not as low but the difference is only a few cm's!!! Strange isn't it??

That's why the stock 06 appearance is a big improvement over the old one - it has a sportier look due to the revised side skirts and front and rear bumper and let's not forget the 17" wheels!!!
