Hi All,

Thanks to a great response on a recent question regarding camber adjustment, now have the next issue at hand..

What is a good brand of sway-bar (and the diameter) for a DA9, and can you use a thicker one from any other Integra/Civic ? like would a GSR or VTi Integra one be thicker and a straight swap into a DA9 ?

Want to replace the front and rear bars on my Integra.

And in trying to keep to a budget, Nankang or Kuhmo tyres? I currently run 205/40/17 and need 4 new ones.

Cheers

Chris

didnt notice much differance with the sway bar got a whiteline one
better off spending firstly on good shocks and springs
and good wheels and tyres
strut brace also for the front

don't you need extra bracing on the swaybar mounts for a 22mm bar? i thought about 19mm was the way to go, that might be if you keep the stock front sway though.

(if it fits) you might wanna try an ITR one.

Have got KYB on the front and will be putting Koni Adj with Eibach springs on the rear, any idea what the normal diam of the rear and fronts are ?

Yeah, will probably get Kuhmo, or the Nankangs as both get good write ups on wear and grip, i noticed there is a new thread about tyres and has some interesting info!

Sounds good but will see what happens, trying to do things on a budget as i just paid $300 for the adjustable camber upper arms, and need 4 tyres, it just never ends..

did a search and this seemed to be the most relevant, just wanting to know if its possible to fit dc2/r swaybars front n rear to the da9

also how much thicker are they compared to stock da9 swaybars?

cheers

stock da9 is.. i just went blank... (maybe 15mm)
it is possible to fit DC2 sway bars on with a few mods.. theres a thread in the DIY section which.. from memory.. Mr_Will installed..

14mm, possibly hollow for stock da's.

i got d2 coil overs and the white line ??cm sway bar and i didnt notice MUCH difference when i put the sway bar in, mind you i put my back springs and my sway bar in at the same time (left the front ones out for a bit coz had wrong part) but now all are in :)

but i noticed a bit of difference....not TOO much...i got front strut, B pillar BRace (in between the seat belts) and a rear strut brace. and the D2's and sway bar...i done them gradually so the difference was gradual, if anyone wants to let me go in there stock Da9 suspension wise please let me!

whiteline make an 18mm rear sway bar for the da9.. they also do a 22mm but do not guarantee fitment.. with a rear strut brace they compliment each other.. as for whether or not you can feel the difference.. depends on how hard your driving your car.. with a thicker rear sway bar in the da9 it will give a lil oversteer which is ideal for FF cars ...

thanx i'll have a look in the diy section

does anyone know if there are any LS's with NO sunroof?

or do all the ADM ones come with it as standard?

there is no question about whether the whiteline 22mm bar will fit on a da9. it does, ala my DIY
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53696

i cant say that ive tried 19mm vs 22mm, but the 22mm one is a significant improvement on stock, however someone above me said that it will result in slight oversteer, but this simply isnt the case unless you do ridiculous things like come quickly off throttle half-way through a bend.

i definately recommend the 22mm bar, it wasnt a difficult diy at all
