hi ppls, i have a 1994 prelude vti-r with 4ws, i want to get it lowered asap, and i have decided to get either king lows or super lows...the only problem being the 4ws...

if i do get super lows, i might have some problems when turning corners as the 4ws will get in the way of the rear guard. also, if the wheel does come into contact with the guard i am afraid it might knock out my 4ws sensors, and ill have to recalibrate it. here is my car=

can anyone shed any light on this problem, or alternatives. thanks all the same, cheers.

leave it as is? looks perfect to me....

as far as i know, rear steering only works at low speeds and only a few degrees lock, so keep a bit of space in the rear gaurds and youll be fine either way....fronts will probably scrub either way

I agree with Domokun_SPL. It looks nice as is. If you must, just go the lows. 30mm lower. The wheels look big already :)

it's really upto you dude and your taste, ppl above like it low, i personally would do it super low heh

Judging by the pic, I would assume lows would leave the guard sitting about 1cm above the tyre surface.

I, as elim has, have gone superlow. It still ain't low enough for me at the rear. It's up to you though man - I would leave about a 1 finger gap all round.

i say just get lows
super lows are just too much
as in not money but too much to look at and too low

It really depends on what you're wanting from it. Don't expect King springs to be "performance" - cos they most certainly aren't. And I'm talking from experience.

I have Superlows with stock shocks on my EM1 only to tie me over till the Buddy Club coilovers come.

If you're just going for looks - by all means - go the Kings!!

ive got kings super lows on my eg sedan with 16 inch rims n 205/45/16 tyres... its not really low? there is about 1 finger space in the front of the car and the back tyre is tucked in a tiny tiny bit. thats when no1 is sitting in the car. dunno just doesnt seem low to me or maybe i just got used to it haha.

My opinion for what its worth mate is go the lows. Not to go against the advice of the last few threads by any means though. I wont pretend to be a suspension specialist but from the little i know 30mm is about as much as you want to alter the ride height on standard shocks. I was told it will destroy your shocks in short time and also whilst manufacturers mightnt make things look 'bling' and there is DEFINITELY room for improvement on all cars it requires money. They have engineers and design teams with large budgets to make a car do things well, if you go changing the springs 50mm or something they will not be even remotely matched to the dampers, you will throw out alignment and steering/suspension geometry in a big way. Basically as i said im no pro but if you think of the money that has gone into getting a match up in that suspension in geometry and rates and stuff (as soft/high as it may be) i think its fair to assume you will need to spend more than 300dollars for springs to do things right when changing geometry. ie matched rate dampers, caster/camber/toe adjustment kits etc. Just my 2c of course but 25-30mm on your car wont destroy the handling and compliance of your car, wont destroy the durability of your components and will look quite nice and classy on a car that looks pretty good already.
Happy shopping mate
