I have an integra XSI n just assumed the chassis was DA9 like the very similar looking Integra LS. i was looking in the engine when i noted that the VIN plate said that it was a DA6. With further research i found out that mine is a DA6...
wats the difference?
other than the trim on the side of the car is thinner, n my mirrors fold in eletronically... there are other differences, but i dont think that they have anything to do with the chassis.

Difference between a Series 1 and Series 2??
In June 1992 a small facelift meant different bumpers, new taillights, redesigned alloy wheels, revised cabin trim and a little increase in power.. as above
What ive also found out they have different engine mounts and computer too
Is your car a JDM import??
Besides the notable compliance plate with "DA6" on it.. and labelled "Honda Integra XSI"
You should have bulkier front and rear bars with an added lip.. Cruise and added climate controls as well as the infamous B16A VTEC motor..
Unlike AUS spec engines.. a JAP spec engine did not specify which version it came out as..
Example
JDM import - Engines are marked as "B16A" (with no number to identify version)
AUDM and USDM - Engines marked as B16A1xxxxxxxx
or B16A2xxxxxxxx
So if your car has plates (located in engine bay) "DA9"
with engine B16A2xxxxxxx.. It is most likely an Integra LS with a Engine conversion =)
NB if i have missed anything or got anything wrong.. please let me know so i can edit it to be correct.. and having an LS with a B16A2 isnt necessary a bad thing ;)

This doesn't quite seem right.

The lips are OEM Honda Access options whether JDM or AUSDM. The bumpers are the same except the JDM DA6 has a different reinforcement in the front and has a climate control sensor in the middle of the front grill. These are not noticeable however.

Hi guys, sorry to dig up an old thred but I was wondering is a ACURA GS-R 93 a Integra DA6 or DC2R or DA9? just browsing through american sites for coilovers and needed some clarity on this.

Acura GS-R is one of 3 variants- generation 2 integras were the DB2, gen 3 either DC2(similar to our VtiR) or DB8 4 door. your DA6 is JDM only.
you can get coilovrs specifically for the DA6 or the DC2R will bolt up with the similar lower contol arm design, although the ride height in the rear will be lower which is not really an issue if you are getting coilovers. at the front you will need the EG/DC forks at the bottom of the shocker. otherwise get DA9 coilovers and swap the lower control arm from a DA9 on to your car.
