Ok. I have been searching and searching for up to date information on h22a conversions into eg/dc chassis. The things I do find are often heavily out of date and don’t account for things such as the availability of hasport mounts and axles.
Also alot of the information is clouded by rumours and false information from people that are biased and negative on the subject. This collection of true and false information makes compiling helpful h22a convertin information fairly difficult as the outdated hints I have heard have been replaced with different methods such as ready to fit hasport mounts instead of welding mounts .
What I am looking for though is along the lines of:
-Total parts list involved: e.g. half cut, mounts, axles etc.
-Experiences of doing it.
-Problems involved.
-Any pictures of the swaps intimate details.
-Legality issues from going form 1.8 to 2.2 such as need for bigger brakes? Suspension? Etc?
-Would an insurance company be wearier of an engine displacement increase or turbo charger addition?
P.S I think correct and concise replies to this sort of question would be very useful from an information database point of view, allowing other people to learn from such specific questions.

I hear ya man,had the same experience researching my swap(not the same as yours btw),outdated info i was told to search, conflicting info ending in 20pg flame wars for no result, etc.Do read thru it all thou, there r a lot of useful bits hidden amongst the wreckage.
Anyway I'll start u off,
Mounts (http://www.full-race.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=35_40_73&products_id=141)
Axles (http://www.full-race.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=156)
Rear Bracket (http://www.full-race.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=163)
Conversion Harness (http://www.full-race.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=35_40_76&products_id=157)
You have to buy at full-race,Hasport dont ship to Aus dont forget to add shipping about 200-500US depending on amount u buy, import duty for orders over 1000AU and conversion to $AU.
As u can see this all adds up pretty quickly,so maybe do the wiring urself or just get an auto elec to do it(about $300-$600)very rough estimate, but by the time u convert the cost of the conversion harness & ship it,its approx the cost of getting auto elec to do the whole lot plus make sure it starts 4 u.(i reiterate costs only used 4 arguments sake,b4 any auto elecs cut me down)
Source some locally produced axles could help also & maybe a rear bracket off another model will work as well,I just found it easier to fork out for the whole lot(did wiring myself thou) cause your time finding all the right info & pieces is worth money as well,or at least i know mine is.I also noticed a few people on here & other forums advertising Hasport gear so check that out,I'd already ordered mine when i found out.
Goto Hasport.com for the product info, instructions also & i found both companies very helpful over the phone as well.
Saw quite a few H22A's in Sydney as well when i was looking for the B18 a lot cheaper too so i'm sure there is no prob there.
Sounds like an interesting conversion, good luck with it:honda:

Hey Eclipsor, yeh did manage to read that writeup. Had another look now, text is jumbled up !!! :P Was helpful to a degree but the way its written doesnt come across to clearly to myslelf when he talks about various things he does
e.g. (Basically your are cutting a larger hole for the prelude s gear box and used that on the h22a box, works fine there exactly the same.I also used the civic slave cyclinder due to clearance issues, this also is a straight bolt swap, only needing one hole to be drilled in the bracket to fit.)
What clearance issues? Cutting a larger hole where ? things like that. I give full credit to him for writing it up and it would get hard writing something like that as he is recalling it from memory and leaving out the things he sees as basic in his head but are not being conveyed to the reader. no what i mean?
Also Engineering the swap ? what would be involved here.

i think he was referring to the custom exhaust; engineering that is.

Just read the write-up above, what a mad effort by the author.
i wish i found something like that, when i was researching mine, very helpful guy as well, try PMing him.
All the elecs r fully laid out 4 u also & it sounds like he might be talking about a brake booster or hydraulic clutch clearance issue. As for the hole for the shift,i'm sure it will be pretty obvious what needs to be done when the time comes.

i'd check with your local state authority. In syd there is a manual on DIY work on cars but i think your gonna have to engineer yours so your best bet is finding out which companies will do the conversion and get it engineered for you
