Hey what engines are in the 3rd Gen? Preludes - you know popup lights and 4 wheel stear? And would I have any chance with my EK Civic GLi if I were to race one? All stock of course...

1998cc non V-tec (2.0l)

I can beat non V-Tec civics!
I go close to beating V-tec civics until they go into 3rd :(

skoota - It all depends on what civic it is.
I'm no civic genius to me they are all ugly!
But some are 1.3L and some are bigger (i think) So the race always has a different result. Also depends on driver!

But the 3rd Gen Prelude's aren't that fast :(

I've been in a few of them and they seem fast but then again they're getting pretty old. My ''99 EK Civic is only 1.6l SOHC non-VTEC. So I'm guessing that the lude would beat me, but probably not by that much.

Those were the best Preludes ever made I feel. And you think Civics are ugly?? You got probs dude. ;)

Best Prelude made if it had V-Tec then YES I WOULD AGREE!
Sorry i'm not on the I LOVE CIVICS BANDWAGON. But to me they are Honda's version of Festivas and Barinas! Not my kind of car!

yeah mate i gots an EK sedan GLi and mine is stock and stays with my mates 3rd gen with pod and full 2.5inch exhaust and he only just had me so i think i civic should be able to beat a stock one

thats coz 2.5 inc zorst is to big for that prelude, you lose power not gain it might sound good but it dose **** all for power gains.
if he had a 2 1/4 zorst then he would be faster.

i beat a SOHC VTEC in my 3rd gen prelude...it was a hatch 1 the 1.3L..i beat it by a fair bit

I'm a 1.6 though - my bicycle would beat a 1.3 SOHC without anyone even on the fricken thing!
