i've searched and nothing comes up for this question

just wanna know if the delsols come with a stock short shifter, and if i was to install a ITR shift linkage will it make a difference to the way the car shifts now??

thanks for any replys

the throw on the sol is already quite short... more so than the civic, etc.

ITR shift linkage won't fit without modification(of the cut and weld variety)

chassis is different... the itr one is too long

with the sol, only the sol shift linkage can be used

just change the shifter and keep your stock linkage that will still give you a shorter shift

the sol already has such a short throw though... going shorter is just going to put stress on the tranny

yeh thats true the delsol already has a pretty short throw, its strange though that the linkage doesnt fit the car, even though its a b-series engine and gearbox

it'll bolt up to the transmission just fine... that isn't the issue... the issue is with it bolting up to the chassis for the shifter

its too much trouble to do something that wont just bolt on, the shift of the delsol is already short i just wondered if the linkage would make it feel any better

some high quality shift bushing may make the shifter feel better

just wondering if the shift linkage will not fit onto the eg6 either, cause the delsol and eg civics share the same chassis??

that's like saying the shift linkage won't fit the dc2 either because eg/dc2 share same chassis set up too ..

i believe the del sol shift linkage is a one off linkage.. unique only to del sols..

well if it is a "one off linkage" then that explains it, thanks for the response

i know for sure that the d-series linkage on the del sol is a one off linkage.. eg civic ones don't fit.. which would probably be the same for the b-series

I can't say for certain that the itr linkage will fit a civic or not, but I can say that there isn't another linkage that's interchangable with the sol, other than a sol linkage. For those of us with d series sols, the only direct bolt up option available during a swap is a del sol shift linkage.
