Has anyone used Greedy extreme timing belt before? Any negatives and postives. How would this belt compare to TOda belt? I need a toda belt for my internals but i came across this greedy extreme timing belt which was at a cheaper then toda. So would i be able to use greedy extreme for high reving like toda?

Basically how do they both compare and could i use greedy instead of toda for 11rpms.

toda c cams, with the rest of the junk that goes with it. So its goin to be high reving and agressive.

Back on topic, i ve use the Greedy timming belt, alot thicker than the factory one. I havent seen the toda one so i cant compare.

my vote would be for the toda belt, mainly cause its been tried and proven in race situations. I'm not familiar with the other exrteme timing belt. Thats my thoughts anyway.

sorry i can't be of much help. And 11K RPM is a crap load of revs!!

LOl thanks for ur help. It wont be 11 it will be around that ball figure 10.5 11 ish and vtec should be raised to like 7...but this is a totally different technical story.

Greddy parts are not as comon in Aust. Clubrsx, in the US should have more people who would have tried the different Timing belts.

You gotta rem you only generally change them every 100k, its not that common to have changed more than 2 for each car.

I just did my 100k service. I got brand new OEM belt in my type r that hasnt even done 1km yet but stupid me forgot to put toda belt in. I cant afford to run the risk of my belt snapping at 11,000rpms coz if it goes at that revs my engine is gonna die without a doubt. Thanks for your help anyway. I'l try club rsx and honda tech as weq suggested.

why don't u just buy a 3x gates one?
not many manufacturers make their own belts.
Gates is a manufacturer of timing belts for alot of aftermarket factories.

Back to the orginal question. Can I use greddy extreme heavy duty timing belt instead of toda. Toda is the recommended belt for the toda internals. Only reason why i brought up greddy extreme heavy duty belt is i found it for a cheaper price then toda. Nearlly 100 bucks cheaper.

100 bucks is 100 bucks, but if it snaps under the pressure which toda can take, how much will that cost you?

once again thats why im making enquiries. I'm obviously not gonna risk the whole engine for $$$ but if i can save couple of bucks for something that does the same thing then why not.
