I have look in the honda service manuals but it doesnt seem to list the valve clearance for my engine a D15B4 dual carb. Does anyone know the correct clearance specs?

depends which way you get it worng.

to tight, you will damage valves

to loose you could damage roccers

also loose tappets will be noisy.

its an easy job but must be done right. very important.

have you seen my tappet adjustment DIY ???

did you watch the video

if you are sure you have each cylinder at its TDC, and you used the right fealer guage you will be ok. when you start the engine it will not have any tapping type noise when you run it.

when pushing the fealer guage in and out. you want it to have a little bit of resistance. to much then its to tight, not any or enough then to loose.

its shown in the video.

make sure the motor is stone cold, driving the car into your driveway from the street when it was cold then doing the tappets is not good enough. must be stone cold.

good luck
