Will 16's fit my 88 Lude?

Hi, just bought some rims BSA 16" 5 Spoke Rims + Falker Ziex 205/50/R16's
4x100 multi-stud 4x114...16x7. for my 1988 Honda Prelude.

Now I went to Tempe Tyres last night to put them on and they said that it will not fit on...it's going to rub cos the tyre is too big....

Does anybody know or think that this is true?

what's the offset ?

they should just fit i hav an 87 i was able 2 fit 17x7 205/35 or 40/17

if tempetyres said the only reason is tyre rub, and not offset, then just get a lower profile tyre (keep it sensible). Go back and ask them if they think a lower profile tyre will fix it, or if it is offset.

i got 16's on my car with the same tire profile... no problem... is ur car lowered

I went to Australias best on Sat and they said there wont be any rubbing at all.....put them on and they are sweet!!!
All done......dont know wat tempetyres were on about...i think they just wanted me to buy new tyres....
