Honda in Japan says it will repair the Fit subcompact, the Stream minivan and seven other models, produced between April 2001 and March 2002, because of key interlock problems.

Honda said 423,344 automatic vehicles are subject to the repairs. Their ignition keys can be removed even when the shift lever is not in the park position.

The seven other models involved are the Step WGN, the Civic, the Civic Ferio, the Civic Hybrid, the CR-V, the Mobilio and the Integra.

Damn...I wonder if our April 2001 CR-V is affected by this? I imagine alot of you may also be affected if your car was built between the dates specified.

Yeah there was a model that had electric brakes or something, and kept on failing due to the sensor harness coming loose, causing the main brakes to fail and the backup brakes to kick in, which were not as good as main brakes, causing bad/dangerous braking performance.
