Whats the best way to get black stains out of the carpet in my civ? I was thinking of using the foam brush at the car wash will this work?

as long as the foam brush is using for cleaning cars, it wonldn't help you to clean the carpet. You can go to the car wash and do a steam clean job, the black stains will definitely come out. or if u can take the carpets out, go and get the carpet cleaner (from woolworths), spray on it, use a brush to scrap it, then use the high pressure gun to hose it, let it dry in the sun.

yeah, 'black' stains ey? ;) hahah jokin man. Just head down to a supercheap auto or even a servo, they usually have car cleaning products there. If its black it may be oil or grease so maybe see if whatever you get can clean that up as well?

Can't you use normal carpet cleaner on it? ie. the same foamy stuff you use in the carpet in your house?

And man... on the topic of cleaning. These damn water restrictions make waterin my car using a bloody watering can a real pain in the ass. I know I should've used a bucket but then I figured, I'm only cleaning the wheels, the watering can "should" be sufficient. Sigh.

I find the watering can more effective than splashing with a bucket. We could do the same job using less water with the hose, but I personally have seen idiots who leave the hose running while they are scrubbing their wheels. So the water restriction is justified (although the #1 consumer of water are the industrial factories).

I usually use the bucket when washing the whole car; but today since it was just the wheels I thought the watering can could suffice. I miss the good ol' days where I could just use the hose and spray the whole car, wipe, and then spray again. Done.

What cleaner were you using on your wheels? I clean my wheels with diluted laundry detergent (very very diluted) and only need 1.5 watering cans of water to rinse all 4 wheels off.

Steam clean? is that at the places where you wash the car yourself or just at detailers?
