But he doesnt want 15's.

He obviously doesnt like the "JDM" look that everyone here swears by.

Personally i dont like those wheels u chose, i think there are better looking 18's out there. What colour is your car?

i say go a 17"

18" make a civic look like it is on roids

those GMAX rims are shite. mate, 18's look tough. 15's aren't for everyone

its got nothing to go with that 'jdm' crap.

18s on a small car is just stupid, think bout the wheel bearrings, brakes and steering components etc.

itll cost more in the long run. 16s should be the biggest imo

16z for a hatch

17z for a sedan, anymore and its lame, not rice

lame in the sense that it isnt practical, as stated above

no 18s look hot on any civic IMO.
16" is best followed by 15"

You can get away with 17" but im not keen on them either, even used to have 17"s on an EG Sedan..

tis obvious you just want them for looks so i hope you dont get too much lecturing on the reduction of performance yada yada yada

I have 17s on my car, looks pretty shmick. 18s would look hot, but youll definately have to get your guards rolled, and finding a set of the right width may be difficult.

he's saying that no 18's look good.
there was no comma after "no" so it wasnt a reply then a statement, was simply a statement lol

mate, do what you want to do....afterall, its your car. SHWCAR civic has 18's and that car is HOT!!!

i do hafta agree with Trav tho....18's may cause havoc with your CV's and other suspenion/steering parts

18" and higher on civics isnt uncommon...

as far as damage to wheels bearings and stuff goes....these cars are over 10 years old....things will go wrong but i havent heard SHWCAR having an dilemmas

if your gonna go 18"s your gonan need to slam the car to compensate so thats something to keep in mind

If you're getting 18s, make sure you have a bodykit to fill the 'space' once u get lowered. it'll still look stupid if u dump it, and have a stock kit.

forgot to mention in my post b4, but ride quality on bigger wheels is shithouse, i went from 14 stockies to 17, and u can feel the bumps alot more, and it would be worse with 18 and 19, as the profile of the tire is smaller.

If u like em, get em, it is your car afterall. But dont expect ride to be nice like ur smaller wheels, cos it wont be.

Nothing wrong with big rims. Just takes time for new guys to appreciate how stock item can look so nice. I think over time it happens most car enthusist.

Havn't had any drama's with the 19's apart from giving up ride quality.

Just ordered 20's today for my civic, so looking forward to receiving them this week. Who said you couldn't get 20's on a EG civic:p

Go with what you think will look good or perform well on your civic

i have 18's White Daiblo Racing Rims on my 96' civic and they look SICK. not many people have white rims like these. they came with the car when i bought the car. having said that, they're little bit too big for my liking and want to downgrade to 17"s. they scrub out a little at full lock.

here are some pics...
