Just want to return my DC2R to the stock air box. But I want to replace the stock filter with the KnN filter.

Does anybody know the number code for the KnN drop in air filter?

Are there better alternatives out there?

I'm actually using a simota mesh filter. Had my cousins k&N filter in my airbox for a couple of days, and preferred the mesh one I'm using now.

You may try to use Spoon or Trust air filter. Better air flow.

for anyone who has done this in the OEM airbox, is it worth spending the money just for the filter? does it make much of a different?

any opinions?

Then, why would you install one then? It's inside the box? You can't see it!?

what i have done is gotten DA9 piping and a K&N filter with the standard box. nice little mod too :)
looks bling, sounds good, goes good and totally legal.
i will have pics of it if you wish. this cost me roughly around 120 bucks with everything included.
cheers

i got this price from autobarn dandenong about 1.5 years ago?

so don't quote me on it!

If you call autobarn and give them a part number, they'll let you know how much it is.
