very sorry if someone has asked this b4 me but i cant find an old post....
the guys at the servo doing my rego cant find the engine number.. asked honda..not where they say.. anyone know where to find the engine number on an 86 integra ?

Its usually at the front of the engine block near the gearbox. Maybe its covered in dirt?

nah its no where to be seen, and i cleaned the engine bay for rego... they say under the dizzy where the gear box mounts up... no luck, anyone got a pic or anything ??

Umm there is a flat bit nder the dizzy, anyway its a D16A3. DOHC with 9.5:1 compression ratio. Weak con rods, 75mm bore, 90mm straoke. umm what else.

www.g1teg.org. Try there, theres lots of info. Our engine is a bit closer to a ZC than the american D16A1 though.

no. but its the best resource that we have for the g1 teg.. the engine is the same...

not very clear, but basically, it should be located roughly under that green circle. if you still can't find it, i'll take a picture of my own engine bay at a good angle, so you can see

edit - not my engine bay. i think its disgusting how much leaves are banked up there...

no it's not, it os ont the rear of the engin just under the thermostat.
Heres a pic of mine. this side of the engine faces the firewall.

umm... maybe thats where it is on civics, or maybe its some other number (block number maybe?), but thats definately not where it is on an 86 integra

i'll take a photo of mine in the morning... somehow i don't think he cares anymore, but still, just to prove a point :)

trust me that is where it is.
That engine is out of an integra and now in my civic and i also have an integra with the number in the same spot as this one, so thats two engines with it in the same spot.

same place as every other honda engine number =]
try rego sticker as well.. but could be dodgie there
