A while back i got myself a MT-8 Microtech ECU. The person who sold it to
me said it came from a Type R Honda. Ive later been told MT-8's are no
longer serviced be Microtech thus meaning its now for ever needing to be
used on a honda type R.

My question is

- how many different types of Type-R motors are there?

- And will the ecu be able to work on all of them or only the one it base
program has been setup to run?

Sorry for the hard question but its not an easy thing to find info on.:o

Hope you can help.

Thanks

You should be able to install the microtech on most cars. But just need a retune for it to work effectively.

This is not just for an ITR it will suit any Honda with the OBD2 dizzy in it,and yes Microtech will no longer service these units as in they will only repair them but not upgrade them.
