Does anyone have any info/DIY on installing an oil pressure switch on a b16a? Is it easy to do? or should i just give it to the mechanic to install.

its easy to do

all depends on your skills.

take out the factory one, use a t peice, and put them both back in.

you will have to wire up the guage.

"remove old switch, installation is reverse of removal..."

use PTFE tape or Hondabond or RTV sealant on the thread too ;)

Yeah, i figured its the reverse of removal, so i found its located next to the oil filter (to the left AFAIK). I was told by a non-reputable source that i might need a special tool? anyone confirm?

BTW, i'll have to get to the switch from under the car right? *go go gadget arms* LOL

edit: is ptfe tape/ hondabond/RTV sealant, available from repco, super cheap etc?

i've already got the oil sandwich plate.
I've just brought a T piece from Priate those hose guys for $10 with different screw on fittings.

You need a hoist to do it easily or have the car up high on stands

just do it on the ground jacked up on stands

thread tape is good.
honda bond is expensive. I use pyrtec ultra grey. works well.

it is a 22mm or 23mm socket...

try it from above where the alternator is...
