there shouldnt be any issue if you have the car on car stands put at the right place.

sorry i wasnt clear enough

the shocks are suspended in air (if the tyres are off the ground) and may become locked if not in use

thats not the corect spot to hold up a honda

you should use the space provided on the seal pannels

If you remove the doors for repairs or whatever you may get some sagging but if the stands are in the correct place and you keep the doors closed you should be ok.

im not removing the doors, its because im losing my license so im putting it on stands to fight the urge, and also to get underneath and detail.... i know i know.. but when else am i gonna do it

whats the diff between having the doors open when the car is on the floor and on jacks, as far as door sagging goes?

so what your saying is that the car will sag down the middle, potentially, if i leave the doors open?

let me stress the importance of stands.
NEVER WORK UNDER THE CAR on jacks!

lucky there was no one under car, but it was pretty scary as it was.

Scissor jacks I don't trust at all. I have a trolley jack in my boot. Sure it makes my car go slow, but at least no shit will happen. Did I mention about my jackstands in the boot too?

one of my cars has been on stands for 3 months, and a year ago it was on for 6 months... no bends and the shocks are fine. Just make sure to use the proper spots and you'll be fine.

where would be the ideal postion to place the trolley jack to get the front/rear onto stands?

On my GSR there is a center front spot I used and then in the rear I used the tow hook. Make sure, depending on the car, jack stand size, and how high you want to go, to go up in increments. I used cement blocks and wood to help raise it. Makes it a little safer then going for it all at once.

The cars manual will show you where the correct jack points are.

damn i need a trolly jack.

When i need to get mine on stands, i gotta use the scissor first, then once it high enough, i can stick the 4wd hydrolick jack, THEN i can stick stands under it

i had my other car on stands for 3mths cos i was doing aslow engine conversion took so long cos all my firend were busy when the conversion came round and they convinced me that it was a good idea and they would help!

Anyway just make sure you use stands if its gonna stay up for more than an hour. I always use my 3 tonne trolly jack cos i dun trust the small ones
