Hi All,

I did a rear disc conversion on my wifes EG Civic, and swapping everything over was easy enough, but it does not brake like I thought it would.

I have since swapped over to another master cylinder as well (definately came out of a 4 wheel disc Civic) but still no improvement.

I am getting conflicting reports regarding the proportioning valve, some people say its in the master cylinder itself, and that i need to remove something out of the master cylinder to change it from drum to disc.

Others say theres a separate valve block.

Which is correct? and if i changed the cylinder, wouldnt that have removed the problem?

I have just machined the fronts and new pads, but it is worse than when it had drums.

If anyone can help would be appreciated.
Cheers, Chris

I agree with Danny

I have sone this before as well. with stock BMC and proportioning valves there was a difference

try bleeding your brakes again.
