The thread I am referring to is in the lounge.... talk about racist?

I would expect that any website that I listed a "white english australian chat only (NO ASIANS ALLOWED)" thread on would get shut down in an instant - yet OzHonda is allowed to have such a thread and the population just has to deal with it?

Just so you know, I am not racist at all I just find that this kind of blantant disregard for the population on a public australian (and international for that matter) website a bit over the top? :confused:

not once in the thread is it stated that the thread is restricted to only one race.
white, black, fluro pink, everyones allowed.
the only thing that is "controlled" is the language thats used in the thread.
there is no racial slurring or slandering involved at all in the thread, its all in good jest.

And being Cantonese only - well that doesn't leave many people of foreign descent now does it?

These guys were not out to offend you or any others...i am "white" but im still typing in there :) Just because OZHONDA is an australian website , dosent mean we have to speak 100% "english" correct ? "Aussies" are all races of the world :)

Fair enough mate, and I'm not taking it too seriously, like I said - I'm not racist and I have plenty of friends from different countries. We are all Australian. I just wanted to have a say for once - I'm not a bullshitter or a pot stirrer.

I was just a little taken back by it.... and I find the reply from QBall a little bit direct as well, maybe he was offended that I was talking about his thread?

FOB - wen used by an asian, is generally used in good jest, nothing racial in it, similar to a african american sayin "N I G G A".
Just because u feel that the thread is being restrictive and racial doesnt mean it is.

I love stuff like this, being a Gwailo that only has a bare grasp of the language, it gives me a chance to look at how people say things, its a bit of fun, yes it would be great if there were subtitles :) but its life, we are here to have fun and share info, not slag everyone off, lets face it, HONDAS are not really Australian now are they ??? so if we are all mad on imported cars, y cant we have some fun with the peoples that drive them? BTW calm down everyone and take a step back next time - most of that which is posted on the internet is NOT intended to offend anyone.

If in doubt - dont lash out. Pm a moderator , or even pm the thread creator and ask why they posted it.
