hey dudes, i gotta EG5 si hatch with lowered springs and stock shocks.
(is this bad??)

however after my last service on the hoist, l'm hearing come "clunk" noises from my left rear spring. (i think its the spring)

whenever i turn my steering wheel left and go up a ramp or down a ramp, a loud "clunk" noise would be heard as if the spring was poping out abit or poping in..

help ??

Definetely your shocks that are gone, your springs are fine.

However don't listen to danny :D I have lowered springs [fairly low now] and stock shocks and my shocks and still holding up like sexy beasts 5 months later :P they will leave me soon though i think lol

with lowered springs standard shocks is a nono..

any aftermarket sports shocks will make a difference

i've had stock shocks with lowered springs for the last 6months and man...

my shcosk were ****ed...they wouldnt reven retract

after i got the different shocks it was like...wow...so much better not just for corners but the ride quality was awsome compared to the other combo i had..

Spring is rotating within the housing.. ie not seated properly

jack the car up on the end that is clunking
if you can grab the spring and move in backward and forward, up and down, then your spring is not captive. this is bad, very bad.

either get helper springs or longer spring, or change the suspension to somehting else.

pair of helper and adapter set is around 200 for a pair.
