Hi im just new to this site i just got my log name today, i have just bought an honda integra type r 2002 model, and i was wondering what can people recommend on different mods for my car. As i know that it is running high compression already so i wouldnt want to do anythign and find out that i have lost power. Cause wat im considering is exhaust.

get proven intake, headers, exhaust, ems, and cams....should see great improvements. after that it will cost you if you still want more.

should list your budget and what you want to achieve

Hi and welcome
where are you at?
be sure to check out www.clubrsx.com australian section
you'll find heaps of info there

with exhausts for the dc5r...don't go cheap...it's not worth it

toda headers... mugen twinloop or fujitsubo RM-01A exhaust... mugen intake and hondata comp....

7K there with no installation cost... but it'll be a sweet ride... though might want to think about spending some dough on suspension after that setup...

Tuning alone on a totaly stock car will give 22%+ or more extra power :) Once we release out DC5 ECU

Results can be found in the NA section on this fourm

B series kicks ass..

however its reach it tuning limit potential, unlike the K-series which has only just started!

nothing wrong with b series but k series responds better to mods...
i would say don't mod a type-r at all... but if you really want to, I/H/E...

nothing wrong with a b series, slightly less torque i guess...

I'd go with what James said REVOLVER2022.

Just going for intake/header/exhaust mods without and aftermarket ECU isn't a wise decision.

get a header before an exhaust.. MORE GAINS INDEFINATELY

Get the toda header. One of the best headers in the market.

A good combination of I/H/E would net gains no matter what.. just that with an ecu, the gains can be maximised... doesnt matter if you have it.. tho if you can afford it, you mos def would want one just to milk your mods... just remember that a good tuner (when you get ecu) is the best mod of all

The problem with getting a header on a dc5 is that they dont come with a cat converter, unless u willing to spend the big $$$ to get one which does (eg Maxim Works, or upcoming Mugen). This means there is no room for the cat so u either cut your header or catback zorst to fit it in, or u go without one (huge fines). :x

Another thing is that u will need to change your front swaybar to fit the header in. Or u can spend more money, get Jdm LCA's and get Cuscos sway bars :)

Having said that, the header has a much bigger "bang for buck" effect than getting a catback exhaust. It just doesnt have any bling bling factor if that is a concern
