quick question, my 05 d17 sedan is reving about 3800-3900 at 110km/h on the motorways, stock wheels, proper pressure, aircon off and windows up. Is this normal, as I just noticed it today?

Air con or windows shouldnt affect the speed, a certain rpm in a certain gear will ALWAYS do the same speed

Provided wheels are stock or else they will affect the gearing

Though this isnt the always the case wth auto, atleast until the tourqe converter is fully locked.

its cos honda have close ratios compare to most other cars. That's how you make small engines perform.

yeap and cuz hondas weren't made for australia's wide open roads.

all B series boxes have closer ratios than D due to their performance orientation. So depending on what your driving changes this also.

The highest revver will be the ITR box at 4.7

i drive a d series. Sits around 3000 revs at 110 km/hr. But as said above, gear ratios on different engines play a part in this.

i do 2400 at 100km/h cant remember wot rpm at 110 but its below 3000 anyway im pretty sure. my car is a 93 honda civic vei so i believe cause its got the vtec-e engine and i think the gearbox is geared for economic cruising haha.
