Thanks in advance

Will D16Y8 Exhaust Manifold directly bolt on to EK1 (D16Y4)
What is the model using D16Y8 Honda Civic Sedan VTI?
Is there any other exhaust manifold from SOHC Vtec can be bolting on EK1

What Engine Cover can EK1 (D16Y4) use, from what model.?
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g270/innoz/ventildeckel-done1.jpg
Can this be ? From EG5, is EG5 using D16Z6?
is EG5 92-95 Honda Civic Hatch in wt model??? Breeze? or wt.....
Trying to pretend to having a VTEC engine. A real ricer.

Do anyone know what model of honda do this wheels come from, I just knew that they are made of EnKei???

Hey buddy, welcome to the forums.

Can't answer all your questions but i'll try and help you out.

Cannon style exhaust: basically an exhaust with a large muffler and large tip
http://undergroundimports.com.au/ecommerce/os/catalog/images/AAA-63-0518%20muffler.jpg

Twin loop: The exhaust gases pass through the muffler twice before exiting through the tip. Since it goes through twice, these are generally quieter than a canon.

Note: Pics taken from www.undergroundimports.com.au as they supply those exhaust.

As for the wheels, my guess is that they're either optional accessories from Honda or from a vti civic (ek, probably a facelifted one).

Will D16Y8 Exhaust Manifold directly bolt on to EK1 (D16Y4)
I believe it would bolt on

What is the model using D16Y8 Honda Civic Sedan VTI?
As far as i know, that engine came from the Civic EJ8 coupe its a SOHC Vtec motor

Is there any other exhaust manifold from SOHC Vtec can be bolting on EK1
The only other SOHC VTEC motors i can think of is the D16Y8, D16Y1 or the D15B VTEC and i believe all these parts are interchangerble

What Engine Cover can EK1 (D16Y4) use, from what model.?
I think it can use D16Y1 and D16Y8, the D16Y1 is from the EG5 Civic the VTi and the D16Y8 is from the EJ8 Coupe or the VTi Sedan

That red engine cover looks just like mine and i got it off a D16Y1, which is also known as the D16Z6 <--- american term

Can this be ? From EG5, is EG5 using D16Z6?
Basically a D16Y1

is EG5 92-95 Honda Civic Hatch in wt model??? Breeze? or wt.....
EG5's are either the VTi or the Si (VTi is SOHC VTEC, Si is DOHC non vtec)

Trying to pretend to having a VTEC engine. A real ricer.
Just do a mini me vtec head conversion and you wont need to pretend anymore

Hope that helps mate :)

Well if you change just the muffler, you'll get a different sound but that's about it... lol not much gain in performance if any at all since the rest of the exhaust system is still stock and restrictive.

To get the most gains you'll need to change the rest of the exhaust, headers (4 pipes which are connected to the engine block), b-pipe (look at this thread for what a b-pipe is:Click here (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45473)) and a hi-flow catalytic converter.

From what i've read the cannon will give a better gain and it's not as restrictive as the twin loop, however the trade off is that it's louder.
Oval and titanium muffler? if you're talking about the just the tip then it'll probably be more about aesthetics. If you're talking about a full exhaust then expect to pay a premium for a titanium exhaust, although benefit would be a good gain in performance and lower weight compared to stock or other exhaust systems.

Oh my god, you guys are so kind and willing to answer, I learnt a lot from here.
Thanks NeRV
But.... comes out more question, wt is a mini me vtec head conversion?
Is it to change the whole engine? I think it will cost too much for me.
Um...Thanks Fr3aKi3 too, I heard from someone that the twinloop will make there car more responsive??
Just want it to be responsive, doesn't want it to be fast in High rev. Orelse I have to change the whole thing of intake kit....exhaust manifold - Catback- Mid pipe and muffler

Mini me conversion doesn't require a change of the engine, it's swapping the heads. Essentially you'll be swapping a non-vtec head (D16y4) with a vtec (D16y8) one.

As for the exhaust question, probably wait till the arvo or night when there are more people online who'll be able to help you out. Better off getting responses from those who have had experience with the twin loop. :D

mufflers
Canon - is s style of straight thru muffler, its bloody loud as most people will tell you.

Twinloop is a straight thru style that loops the pipe back thru the muffler so it goes thru twice and thus the reasonace of the exhaust cancels itself out making the car quieter. It does work cos i got one and they are quiet mufflers.

Normal mufflers have baffles in them with different chambers so that the exhaust goes around the muffler inside, thus making the quiet.

The general rule is the quieter the muffler the more restrictive it is, thus making less power. (99% of the time) there is abit mroe into it that can make quiet mufflers still be very good performers i.e material etc...

So the thing is you gotta work out how much noise you and the police can live with. Reasonators can fix some of the problems but restrict and depends if you have enough room for more than 1.

The mags your looking for are from the EP 2001 model VTI Civics I've seen them on the hatches.

To clarify all D series headers are interchangable
