You could scrap the import/TSX one and put sat nav and allow multiple choices..... But it's risky :D
EuroDude
16-06-2006, 11:32 AM
Then people would want other options as well, such as body kit, optional wheel upgrades etc... best to keep it generic IMO :)
Surely someone in Aus has a TSX or other imports hehe ;)

Nah, the sat nav is THE ultimate accessory. Haha...
No TSX or EuroRs are allowed to be imported into Australia unless it is only for track use.

Really? Why is that

Import restrictions to protect the local car market. If they brought in TSX and EuroRs, then Honda Australia would not be able to sell their Accord Euros.
TSX has voice controlled sat nav, spiffy interior and 152kW!
EuroR has the sweet k20a 164kW engine, LSD and recaro seats!
I'd definately buy one of those over the local Accord Euro. :D
EuroDude
16-06-2006, 12:29 PM
hmm thought as much.
How about when the current euro is discontinued in 2008, can you import one then?
lol someone chose "other (import TSX/JDM etc..)"... possibly someone overseas with a TSX ;)

Hahaha same story here
You can get a EuroR by going to japan - stay there for a year and buy one, drive it round then bring it back as a personal import... You have to have all the supporting documents of ownership and rego etc etc but once its here there is not much that has to be done to bring it up to roadworthy state - you DON'T have to get complied through the mass import scheme :)

There was a 15 year rule in regards importing vechicles.
But that's been abolished, I'm not to sure on how it works now.
Something about compliancing issues, and complying the car with the regulations at the time of importing.
Thats what i know of as i was planning to import a car previous to the accord euro.

Nah, the sat nav is THE ultimate accessory.
Depends on your needs: I didn't bother because I didn't want to pay $2500 for a street directory I wouldn't use...

I can't see that info because it is set up as an anonymous poll. When you created the poll there is a box to tick that allows others to see who voted for what.

I've seen some of the concept pics of the 2008 Euro posted on these forums and online. Not sure I'm that much of a fan and I must say I love the classy look of the current generation Euro. Mind you, I have the sports model + alloys and the grill/body kit stock looks much better than the standard.
Especially at night. Wax on a new car (and on top of Ming) means it positively shines. I only washed it yesterday too! Going to detail the inside of my car if I find time this weekend as my products from waxit.com.au arrived today. Haven't even had it for a month yet :P
Interesting to see that there's a reasonable spread between the models and standard vs luxury. Short of the Maz6, a standard Euro for 32-33k is VERY good value for money. And I'd buy a 41k luxury or sport over a cheap Beemer anyday :)
I plan to keep my Euro Sport for at least the next 5 years before probably either looking at a newer, better car and giving it to my parents. Or just keeping the thing coz it's a real beaut of a vehicle.
I have a 03 Lux.
I had an Nissan S15- Completely different cars to say the least.
I am loving the Euro- it's so dam lazy..
I picked up a clean one its a Indigo color- "apparently" meant to hit the European shores but a few came through to Aus.
Its like a purply color- will post pics when its clean. I havent seen one this color as yet.
Ivory interior also.

I knew I wasn't imagining things! Ive seen a couple of those purple ones and it confused the heck out of me.
Here I was thinking they were the Nighthawk Black ones that had faded or reflected their colour differently due to the light conditions.
Its been bugging me for ages lol :p

Well there you have it- you can get a better nights rest now :)
Yeah- I think it was one the very first batches out here. For a 03 car- the previous owner looked afetr it exceptionally well. Only 2 tiny tiny light dings in it- then very very straight.
I've had the fogged up headlight problem which I had changed under the 3 month warranty.
My build date was one of the earliest in 03 June/July ish..

Well this pic it looks the normal blue- but I will have to take some in better light. I took a few shots to show Honda they needed to fix my headlight.
Hmm cant upload pic.

The Indigo was available in (I think) the 03-04 models -- and it came with an ivory interior (now you only get ivory with black and white cars, but it used to come on half the range). If you look in the brochures (if you have old ones) it was the colour of most of the cars in there (besides silver). Most of those brochure shots got photoshopped to black in later versions.
The Indigo got killed off with the Ruby red for the 05 models -- when the Milano red was introduced in Australia.
