Dont buy an EG, really boring cars.

Get a CRX or EK civic.

Try driving one first?

When i first drove my ek sedan it felt like heaven lol.

So i would presume a well kept after EG should be pretty much the same.

I don't think you can compare the 2, the EG is more for everyday fun driving while the accord is for taking the family around and is heavier cause of the quality comforts, totally different feeling than a EG.

Not really hard to find, agree with the other comments though :D

It depends what your after in a car IMO..
Do you want a small sporty EG, or a larger, most likely more comfortable family car (accord)..

I would take the EG over the accord anyday,. but im biased.. i love EG's :D

Mate i've own 2 EG and i can't complain. One of the best cars to modify with a large range of aftermarket parts to choose from. EG all the way!

They are great for Embarrassing v6, v8 and turbos with the right mods of course :).

Just My 2c hope it helps

lol, is it hard or just time consuming and dont u need that crane thing that holds the engine up.

how much extra is it for labour from a mechanic?

In regards to conversion its been talked abt heaps.

So i suggest using the search buttom. Or reading through the Civic/crx section!

Yeah i know i searched it alrdy but like i said everyone has different opnions on prices for the conversions

$3k for the half cut which will include most things like: motor, trans, ECU wiring etc..
Then you would need labour costs, various other bits and pieces (timing belt, fluids etc).. Brake and sussy upgrades should be done also. etc etc..

So therefor the cost goes right up.

If you were to DIY i think you could do it for $5k with the brake upgrade, maybe a sussy upgrade too.. depends how cheap you wanna go. You would also need to buy/hire a few things most likely if you were to DIY, such as an engine hoist/crane. It would be possible to DIY with some mechanical knowledge.. maybe you have a father, relative or friend who has some experience with mechanics?? Read through some DIYs through google/H-T searches.

Hope this helps in some way?

EG w/b16a > Accord :D

EG is the best car I ever had, heaps of mods and parts around, great handling and brake performace. put a B16A in and it goes even better.
I have to say EG still looks good. I miss my car.

EGs are good.. guess u gota ask yourself what you want out of it.. EKs seem to have more aftermarket parts for looks n that.. so just get urself a vtir ek and you'll be laughin

My first car was a 96 Accord VTi and now my current car is a 94 EG, and tbh, its awesome lol, but seriously its two different wolrds, the accord was so nice and smooth, luxury and didnt make any noise or rattles... but now in the EG it rattles from the exhaust and theres barely anything inside... but its a great handling car, great fun to drive... just go take one for a test drive and decide for yourself...
