just today i ve removed the mesh off the front bumper on my eg, so that exposes my radiator fully and cold air actually gets to it and the response i ve had from the radiator is that it has baskwashed coolant in the radiator back into the reservior. and the car normally sits just a tad below the half way on the thermostat... now its actually tad below the original mark so its even coooler.

can anyone verify if this could cause problems?

maybe resetting the ECU is recommended?

its pusher the hot coolant out of your radiator due to heat expansion after you turn off your car.. so ur rad cap releases coolant into your over flow bottle..

also if ur radiator is free of obstruction it will cool faster .. so that should b normal .. if u werent to have mesh on your car.. coz mine sits below half way as well ...
