Which ever place you go - make sure they will support it. The earlier B16A engines have a few things different to the Aussie spec ones and parts are a bitch - especially as Honda Australia are bastards when it comes to getting parts for a non-aussie car/engine. Honda NZ is ok for parts though.

make sure you get B16A out of CRX DelSol or any EG onwards civic as the earlier EF civic and CRX are cable tranny's where the EG and onwards use a hydraulic mechanism.

usually the $1-2,000 B16A's are from the older EF Sir / Integra RXi / CRX SiR which are cable tranny's.

well you CAN get around it.. there is no performance advantage that I am aware of, just that the transmission is a lot smoother and direct if Hydraullic rather than Cable-operated..

you CAN whack a B16A1 into an EG civic.. but you will have to fark around with all the transmission and mounts etc.

it is also illegal to fit an older engine than your car's age.. so you cant fit an 89 B16A1 into a 93 civic.. however it is LEGAL to fit a 99 B16A2 into a 93 civic...

A 1/2 cut is the front or rear 1/2 of a car

Rowie

:D

You can get rear and front half cuts, but the particular one danny is talking about is the front cut of the car, including engine and depending where you get it, suspension and the lights and panels. :)
