Hey guys how can i tell whether my car is VTEC?

does V-TI mean VTEC?

i have noticed that on most cars with V-TEC engines, it has it written on the engine block. Is there some where i can write in my Vin number or some thing so i can find all specifications on my engine>

I looked at the thread for all types of civic and it says my car has a sunroof, but i dont. so this is why im concearned that i dont have V-TEC.

Your Civic has a D16y8 Engine. It has SOHC VTEC. A single camshaft driving both Intake and Exhaust valves, VTEC only operates on the intake valves. This is because In SOHC configuration there is no room for Exhaust VTEC rockers as room was needed for the spark plug tubes. Your engine makes 93Kw(127Hp), Redlines at 6900Rpm and revcuts at 7300Rpm.

just go pop up your bonnet and look at your motor, if it says D16Y8 then its a SOHC VTEC motor
