hey all,

BANDIT (84 Gen1 CRX) has a ZC Browntop in it, and the radiator is rooted.
Original radiator takes up the whole front end of the car...just like the ED/EF CRXs/Civics.

Can I 'safely' fit something smaller - as an example maybe an EG civic radiator, B16A/B18C one - or should I stay with the 'stock' size?

thanks

I'd say you'd be fine changing too a b16a/b18 one or anything from an EG. As i'm running a black top with stock auto radiator in my EH (half size compared to what you have now) and have no drama's :)

Ah yeah... I c

I was told the size of the EG radiator is smaller because its Dual Core not a single core?

Off the top of my head i believe that is correct. Wait for someone to confirm that point though

From what i've just read up on them, the only issue you might have is mounting it.

i wish the b16/b18 radiator was bigger. im running a turbo and it goes threw alot of fluids.....i need to top it up every two weeks or more..maybe we could swap. i have a 92 civic hatch with a b16a japspec. what size is the radiator?

i know the EK's fit the EG's fine, the EK ones are twice the thinkness.
so in saying that, why don't you try a EK one?
i'mn running a EK radiator in my car.
