i need your guys help.

I'm looking at possibly buying a set of Tein SS for my DC2r, but the damper adjustment on one of them is broken off. I've called one of the distributors for Tein, which i got off the fulcrum site, and they cant give me any idea of price for repairs, he reckons id need to bring them down and they will take a look and send them to the factory

i dont want to be up for a stupid amount of money so i wanted some advice from someone about possible pricing?

I will be tracking the car when i get my license back, so i want to option of adjusting the damping, and dont want to be paying good money for a product that i cant fully use, when i cant get a brand new set for marginally more

any advice fellas?

hey - my advice would be to just buy some new coilovers. It'd save you all the stuffing around, and considering you'll be tracking the car it's safer to have everything in top notch condition. That being said if the TEIN ss are a total bargain, maybe conisder it, but anything over 1000 or so and i recon your money is better spent elsewhere.

Im in the boat too.

Mate is offering to sell me a second hand set of Tein coilovers for about $350.

They are unknown condition. I was curious if these could be reconditioned, by some suspension place (machined etc) so they are back to near as new quality.

If anyone has had work like this done before, let me know the costs and whether it would be worth it.

Cheers again!

thanks a lot for the feedback guys, if it was cheaper id probably ggo for them, the only way i figure they could get fixed is if the entire shock body was replaced? but then im not a pro

ill keep looking into it
