Another quick question on changing oils on my 5th gen lude or any other vehicles.
I know everyone is changing their engine oil every 5k or less.
But what about steer wheel oil? or are there other oils can be changed regularly?
Please share your knowledge on maintaining cars.
It's a good idea to change your power steering fluid at 100,000.
Brake & clutch fluid should be replaced at 40,000 or every 2 years. 20,000 or 12 months if you are hard on your brakes.
Coolant at 40,000 or 2 years

or you could refer to your old service papers and see what fluids theyve changed and the rest.

you will be able to find the service manual for you car on this site, if you search.
this will tell you how often you should be changing each of your fluids.
oil is generally done every 10 000km, but most people on here change it at 5000km, which is advisable, esp if you do a lot of city driving, or drive hard.
ive heard of people changing coolant as often as every 20 000km, but 40 000 should see you with no probs.
basically if you dont know when it was last changed, change it. you cant do any harm by changing fluids more frequently, except perhaps your wallet.
once you know when everything has been done, do it regularly from there

You forgot transmission fluid too. I'd do that every 2 years or 40,000km for my car, but I think you can go a bit longer than that for normal street driving.
