hi there..
im putting a system in my car soon and was planning to put in a 12inch pioneer subby. what id like to know is which setup would sound better in a hatch ported or sealed? for anyone whov ridden or own a dc5 with a sub in the boot..how does the sub sound?does the box roll/jump around alot like it does in a dc2r? would it rattle on the outside?

Well, those pioneers- i assume the 306c, suit a ported enclosure.
Around 56L tuned 30hz- would sound good and loud.
I don't like the 306c in a sealed enclosure it doesn't sound loud enough, however in a sealed enclosure they sound alright, but definately lacking the low end bass.

How big did u want the box to be? want spacE?

What do u mean does it roll and jump like a dc2R?

I think u need to strap the sub box done to prevent it from sliding, and also save ur life, because if u get into an accident that sub box could fly out and knock your head off.

What would rattle on the outside? due to the subs performance? yes it will, but depends how much power u run through it, and in a dc5 i reckon it doesnt vibrate that much, compared to older type cars.
