hello,

i have a 93 vtir, just did and oil change and oil filter change, sparks are still good and air filter isn't dirty..

well i dont know if something is wrong but this is what it does...

in low revs the car seems hesitate, well it doesn't seem very powerful until it hits first stage of vtec.. is there something wrong or is this normal? its take awhile (very slow) to get up to 4000rpm

I have to put a fair amount of revs b4 the car will move, this is in 1st and second gear im not to sure about the others.

the car doesnt seem like it pulls that hard either now and take awhile for the rpms to get up past 4000rpm..

any help will be appreciated.

thanks!

and that will explain my struggle from a dead stop? and the slowness to pick up in revs?

mm, this might sound like a long shot from all the other recommendations, but have u checked ur exhaust piping?? there might be a leak somewhere if u've hit it hard coming out of a driveway or something..

Yeah it says 10w, but i chose to go the 5w. We had a 15w in there and it was revving way slower than before. Its most likely the cause of your problem. So drain it out and put in some new oil!

i ahve a stock exhaust.. well ever since i got the car i ahvent hit anything... but the previous owner may have... i've blocked the exhaust to see if i can see/hear any leaks but it seems all good...

I ahve noticed thatt he pressure fromt he exhaust isn't very strong, should it be strong?

Mobil 1 ==> 5W50
ANd i'd recommend that (I use it and a lot of other HOnda's use it)

But if you are wondering about oil.....do a search....its been discussed.
