Sup civic bros,
Just one favor..
My car: '96 EK1 Sedan
I'm contemplating on getting a body kit but don't know which one. But i'm also thinking of just getting a front bar and rear bar only (no side skirts).

I like the C-west front bar but cannot find any photos of the C-west side skirts and rear bar. Have looked around from motorkitz.com to google and now i'm asking you guys!

If you guys have photos of the C-west full bodykit (front, side & rear) .. plz show me
OR
Show me what other kit you guys recommend I should get!

Any advise very much appreciated.. THANKS EVERYONE!!

Hey bro:)

Personally id get a full kit, otherwise i've seen cars that just have a front bar r sumfn...and it looks plain stupid. As far as what kit, C-west kits look nice....in comparison to alot of ridiculous crap thats out there.

Personally I'd go the lip kits...they r nice n subtle...but also give ur car that unique look....and are a fair bit cheaper than a body kit too.
I considered getting a body kit...but as I said above...too expensive...most are too ugly...and they make ur car 2 low 2 drive anywhere that requires going over a speedhump or into a driveway.

Iv got a lip kit on my car...jus recently sourced a rear lip (bloody impossible to find for our model man)....n gonna get it all colour coded in the next month.

IMO...go the lip kit:thumbsup:

I reckon stay away from full body kits - they just look cheap and nasty IMO.

Put on a front oem lip, or CTR lip, and a rear oem or CTR style lip. It will look so much better, plus having a geniune honda lip removes any issues with regards to fitment, and build quality.

I got the OEM Honda lips put on my 96 EK1 sedan, and I couldn't be happier.

yeah, if you don't want side skirt, don't get front bar. better front lip and rear lip.
bodykits off-the-shelves for ek now are very common everywhere. unless you go custom

Hey DomenEK the OEM lips look good on your car. Nice looking EK mate. You wax n polish it 2? haha
Yeahhh i wouldn't mind putting on lips. but just a few questions...
1. how does it attach (glue)??
2. cost for each front and rear lip?
3. how much lower to the ground are the lips compared to the standards bars?
4. Are these lips easy to get?

BTW, THaNks for the repLies guys!!

also, I wasn't really contemplating a bodykit at first because of factors such as..
- slowing down for hi speed humps,
- sum dlkhed parks and accidently hits my front or back and I had just spent a fortune on 1,
- cost price,
- stuffing round with the fitment and adjustments etc.... too many..

At least with the lips I'm thinking I wouldn't be paying too much for them.

I've always wondered what CTR and OEM stands for??

Is it hard to find the OEM lips and CTR lips around?
Are these lips universal for different model EK's? Or is there a specific one for EK1?

4. Are these lips easy to get?
1. Screws into the underneath of the front/rear bars.
2. I paid ~$140 for the front and ~$240 for the rear. Supply only.
3. Front is really the only one that matters. My car is low and I'm yet to scrape the rear lip. But they sit maybe 50mm lower than the standard bars. Roughly.
4. Should be easy to source. I managed to get the front lip from a Honda wrecker, and the rear bar from a member on here.

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer

CTR = Civic Type R

Have a read through here (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38924) and you will find all your answers to what lip fits what EK...

Thanks DomenEK, you've been a great help.
How much did it cost ya to spray both lips??
Member: Mugen_b16b is selling a CTR replica lip for $150. Is that cheap? he did state it was a replica though. Would this be plastic? If so I dont want it.

Why wouldn't you want it if it's plastic? If it's ABS plastic, then that would be best - It's the same stuff your bumpers are made of. Tough, durable and much better fit. Fibreglass will snap whereas ABS plastic will absorb the blow, to an extent. $150 sounds pretty good to me.

When I got both lips painted and fitted, the car was being repaired from a decent smash. Most of it was covered by insurance, but I paid an extra $1k to have a couple more dents removed and painted, the lips fitted and painted, colour coding on all the black bits and the front guards rolled.

So anyway, let me get this straight about the CTR & OEM FRONT LIPS

OEM: bends out more from the bottom going up
CTR: Stays straight from the front and does NOT bend out

Is this Right???
