I dont know if anybody has done this or tried to do this but im stumped and need some guidance.

I recently purchased a windshield vinyl that is applied to the INSIDE of the windshield (the reason for this was because it looks alot better on the inside and wont screw up as much).

Anyway, i cant seem to figure how the hell im supposed to actually stick it on because it doesnt come precut but in a rectangular shape.

Can anyone suggest how im supposed to measure, cut and then painfully stick it on the inside without screwing it up.

Move this thread if needed.

Is there any excess bits on the decal that you can use as a test sticker?

Not really.
How would it help to put excess bits on the windshield???

No it wouldnt help to put excess bits, but when some1 tints ur car, they dont just peel it off and stick it on and hope that its accurate/bubble free. They spray the sticky side with water and also th window, and they position the tint on. The water allows the tint to be moved and aligned with the window without sticking on. when its in the right position they use a squigee and rub the water out starting from the centre. Then the fraction of water left dries itself out and the glue sets in. im not sure if you can do this with decals, or even if thats a method you're meant to use.

you can use the "tint" method for applying vinyl stickers. But if i was you I'd get it done by someone who does it for a living. Panel shops or windscreen tinters for example, shouldn't cost more than 30 bucks to do and it will be bubble free and you don't have to post up a thread entitled "faaark i screwed up my decal"

I think paying someone to do it professionally would cost once or twice what you paid for the decal yourself. Try it yourself. Make sure you have a bit of detergent in the water you spray on...depending on the stickiness of the decal, water itself may not be enough...and a bit of detergent shouldn't harm the stickiness of the decal. Just lay one corner / edge first and squeegie flat with your hand and leave the other edge off the glass while you check for fit so can reposition if needed.

1. clean the outside windscreen
2. put the decal on, measure and cut to size
3. clean inside the windscreen
4. spray excessive soapy water to the inside windscreen
5. peel the decal and stick
6. use a plastic paint scrapper to get the bubbles out
7. leave to dry

these instructions are what u would do to tint windows and i dont see a difference
