I went to install some bump stops today, and thought while I'm at it I'll set the front shocks to the stiffest setting. I pulled the sussy apart and installed the bumstops ok, but I just couldn't work out how to adjust the shocks. So in my frustration I took to the car with a hammer and bashed down the ridge under the guards that keeps chewing out my tyres everytime I hit a big bump, and did some ghetto DIY body deadening too. At least I felt a bit better.
Someone please explain to me how to adjust the damper settings on Koni reds??
The instructions are nothing but gobbly-Guuk. Farken Germans....

Here you go :)
www.google.com (http://www.google.com) is your friend !
http://www.amdtechnik.com/media/images/technical.koniadjustment.2.gif
Fully compress the shock absorber, at the same time turning the dust cap or piston rod slowly to the left (anti-clockwise), until it is felt that the cams of the adjusting nut engage in the recesses of the foot valve assembly (fig. 1).
NOTE: Some shock absorbers include a bump rubber concealed under the dust cover and this must be removed prior to adjusting. Don’t forget to re-install.

Keeping the shock absorber compressed make 1 full turn (360°) to the right (clockwise). The total range is about 5 half turns (fig. 2).
Extend the shock absorber vertically for at least 1 cm without turning in order to disengage the adjusting mechanism. The dust cap or piston rod may now be turned freely. WARNING: Adjust both left and right dampers identically. Failure to do so may lead to unstable handling and uneven tyre tread wear.

Thanks man. I tried that, at least I thought I did - the bloody thing didn't seem to do anything!
Maybe I'm just too much of a noob...

Ok, I pulled it all apart again today to try this. I followed these instructions, but I couldn't really feel anything, so I'm unsure if I've done it correctly.
I put it all back together again and it feels much better (especially now with the bumpstops installed - no scrubbing!), so I'm assuming I've done what I was supposed to...
Any body else have any experience with the Koni Specials?
