i am keen for a supercharge for my dc5 too. But i think that it might not happening. (not sure) cause ive read somewhere that comptech (or something like that) where only getting 40whp from there kits and that it wasnt practical for them to make em but yeah fingers crossed.

Last time I checked you don't have to be a manual car to be supercharged. Link me to the one you were looking at?

yeah iam sure that the kits available now are only for manuals, because of something with the ecu on autos (or something like that), but ive been on the U.S. rsx forums and they r saying the same things. But just go on the U.S. Rsx forums cause thats where i got the info from cause i cant remember the link.
Oh and if u do find a auto kit PM me :D .
(but i could be wrong)

check out clubrsx.com for any updates.
FRom what i remember, one guy got it done, with the jackson racing supercharger, but then i think JRSC pulled out, and comptech were planning on doing one as well, but im not full sure about that progress..
there are a few things which auto bases are waiting to be done, which are/ were in developments:
kpro for auto, JSRC, comptech supercharger, and some decent cams.
But what people are seriously waiting for is the Kpro, which wil then open the doors for greater things ie/ turbo and s/c

yeah hope for that kpro,
Do u mean, is there anyone in australia who has nitrous oxide in their dc5, i dunno about Nos, they might use nitrous express or zex...?
Well there are plenty of people in the states running nitrous oxide, but in australia, i think there is/was one, a manual base, which kept up with type Rs.
Why not turbo?
there a a few manufactures which have turbo kits for the dc5 type r and rsx type s , and you can modify it to suit the base dc5, or maybe even custom? with a hks turbo manifold.
But then when going forced induction a few things arise.
Gearbox is a let down, won't handle the torque, and increase power.
Also you would have to always be in SS mode, cause the auto tranny wont shift abov 4000rpm when in D or doesn't even work... i think ...correct me with this one, but all i know is that u have to be in SS mode.
theres another problem with fi, but now i forget.
But seriously go to www.clubrsx.com and check out what they are doing in the states and it may answer any updates on FI for the base and new mods.
you don't really need Kpro to make the turbo work on the auto DC5
it's just a much safer option having the Kpro to manage your turbo system
other EMS you can use on a turbo dc5 is Greddy Emanage and Apexi SAFC2
as for a SC for the auto DC5, i wouldn't hold my breath for it to be released.
I've been waiting for that to happen for 2 years now.

hmm turbo VS insurance
Wat would an approximate guess for everything needed to buy a turbo, make it work (management/ boost guage) and get it installed anyway for our cars anyone looked into it? I know it can vary a lot depending on the exact set up but anyone got a basic idea?
(oh and i know its a supercharge thread)
