Aim: Central locking for my ed
Required: One remote kit including control unit wire harness and remotes, slave actuator motor and related mounting parts
Hey all,
Started this with my ed stock with central locking fed up with using the key i spent $95 got a remote kit.

Pull drives side and passengers door trim off on the passengers side you will find the central locking control box pull that out and pull out the harness from it (might be a good idea to disconnect the negative on ur battery before u start i didnt so i could test :p )

Note the stock control above the speaker.
This stock harness has six cables coming in to it:
12v (I think white with yellow trace)
Earth (negative) (Black)
Motor trigger (Yellow with Orange Trace and White with Brown Trace)
Drivers side lock trigger (Blue with White trace and Blue with Red trace)
Connect ur earth first to the earth on the remotes control harness (I cut the harness back to short length except for one blue one green (motor triggers) for the drivers side door. Solder the relating cable from the stock harness to the remote harness, the drivers side lock trigger where in this case brown and white. Tape for neat ness and put the control unit in the same spot as the old one.

Move to the drivers side after u have feed the drivers side motor trigger through the door grommet under the dash into the drivers door (follow stock cable runs to get a clean path that wont have your cables melt).

The drivers side doesnt have the actuator motor like the passengers doors so u need to install and actuator motor make sure that when u do this everything is a straight pull!! otherwise ull burn the motor.
Mount the actuator arm to the door latch thing (thats a technical term)

Then mount the motor you will have to drill 2 holes to hold it making sure everything in plumb(straight lines).

Appox motor position
Connect the cables from the harness to it (Blue and green)
Re attach your negative to the battery and test if all works put door trims back on. Enjoy.
