2006 Euro (S) Bumper/Grille/Spoiler Fit onto 03-05 Euro

After much research, many hours, many calls, visits to Honda parts outlets, viewing parts lists and exploded views I have THE ANSWER !

The 06 Euro front bumper, grille, foglights & spoiler including the Type S fit onto the 03-05 Euro ! Da, Da, Da, Daaaaaa...

This means if you have a front end hit, don't replace the bumper with the original, update the car for around the same cost. They use the same mounting points.

NOTE: You must replace the bumper to 2006 first before you can make use fo the 06 Grille, Spoiler, Type-S grille, Foglights etc. These minor parts will not fit the 03-05 without the 06 bumper!

So, instead of updating cars or adding spoiler lips, update the look of your 03-05 model with 06 bits. Eg. Order the Type S grille, spoiler, foglights and the 06 standard bumper.

Another bonus is you can fit 2006 Mugen front spoiler lip & grille to an 06 bumper for some aggression. Or get the whole 06 Mugen front bumper... Drool.

so what your saying to facelift 03-05 models you would only need just the front bumper + headlights etc? no need to change bonnet and fender? would you have an estimated cost of doing this

The only difference with the bonnet is that the 03-05 have an indentation at the front edge where the chrome "Bonnet Moulding" is mounted to, whereas the 06 has no indentation for the moulding. The guards are the same.

I haven't got the prices with me anymore but for a 2006 Type-S Front end: Bumper, Grille, Grille Surround Mould, Spoiler, Foglights & all necessary bits, it was somewhere around $1900. I believe it may be possible to use the 03-05 Foglights without their standard mounting moulds with some mods if you already have these on your 03-05 Euro to save some money.

Obviously you wouldn't do it if your car already had a kit & fogs on it and was in new condition. Moreso if you have a collision, use these parts instead. Still it is much cheaper than a genuine 2006 Mugen complete bumper with foglights if that is a consideration.

PS - For 06 Euro owners, the Type-S spoiler/foglights/grille can be fitted to your car!!!

Thanks Zed - i had a feeling the front quarter panels didn't change for the 06 (one honda dealer told a member here the panels are different).

So you can confirm the bonnet is exactly the same size on the 03-06 models.
