DC2R muffler will fit to an EG

BUT!!!!!!! it'll only fit sedans!
since the muffler is quiet bit and long sedan can only fit.
inorder to fit the hatch u must cut out some piping and reweld to make it fit.

yes it will fit an EK
and yes there is a gain as the inlet piping on the muffler is bigger.
so it'll give a nice stocky sound
but flow as well as a aftermekt muffler

dont intend to offend, but seriously its a muffler
how much u gonna gain from just a muffler??

minimal amount of gain
what u want is better FLOW

I dont think it will flow as well as an aftermarket zorst...
95% of aftermarket zorst is str8 through.. there is no way the ITR muffler would even compare

i thought this was about the type r zauhst

there is a thread about that in the apearance forum and theres a nice gain and noise ratio from it

i have a mate who has dynoed a cannon and a DC2R wasnt as close
but it only dropped around 1KW atw top end.
but the noise level is uncompareable.

the real difference is the muffler design ~ the way it "muffles" noise IMO.
The exhaust pulse will flow very similar in a decent or OEM muffler...so "flow" really isnt an issue unless we are comparing stock breeze to buddy club variety lol.

so you are saying the flow on a str8 through muffler is the same as a baffled muffler?

yeah cause u know why.. cause its already been bottle necked if he is running stock bpipe..
the part str8 after the car is the bottle neck of the system.. that why the muffler made hardy any difference..

Try fixing that bottle neck (people get that little part rewelded) or getting a mandrel bent cat back system and then redyno with the 2 mufflers... and youll see what im talking about

Its up to a number of reasons ofcourse ~ as you mentioned above there might be a bottle neck in the stock cat-back piping etc.
Im saying a larger better flowing baffled muffler is similar to a str8 thru muffler :)

what ever the case maybe for the power..
this does not relate to the original question.

indeed. To re clarify - the ITR muffler will not "bolt" onto a EG hatch. Only a sedan since there is extra room under the bumper to fitment.
