well the rear of the vechile looks very much like the volvo..
and the front looks like a mixture of the rav4 and and crv.. it looks retarded at the front.. but then again. every 1 has their own opinion.

The best view appears to be from the side, until the eye strays to the D-pillar "egg shaped" window which definitely doesn't blend in with the styling.
The front view is too complex with "too many bits and pieces". Repair bill would be massive. It might just be the light playing tricks, but there appears to be a big "bulge" in the area around the rear number plate. It looks like with the spare wheel removed from the tailgate and located inside, the ground clearance has been reduced considerably. IMO the styling of the new CX-7, Outlander or Rav4 is much better than the new CR-V which will come from Thailand.

I think its all in the high position of the headlights.
The style is very different. Does not appeal to me at all... in fact I really don't like it.

Hi Guys. Bit of an update.

This site has heaps of pics of the new European CRV model. Looks a bit better than the US version and the interior is very nice :)

www.hondasuv.com/stg/viewtopic.php?t=18223

A few points I picked up:

- finally got rid of the column shift
- funny/cool looking park brake
- info display in gauge cluster ala VW and even new Commodore
- door handles look like they were ripped from the Accord Euro
- indicators on mirrors
- engine looks smaller than current 2.4 i-VTEC unit

I like the column shift, more room in the cabin, don't like the new location of the stick. I don't like the chassis shape, it looks much like a Nissan Turano.

Interesting interior, looks much like the interior of the Kia Sedona as posted in the thread:

I am really not a fan of the double grille thing that is going on. It does look better though in the second link (due to it being black) but still not a huge fan.

I used to have the a 2002 CRV, found it very versatile and very nice looking, this i feel honda has missed on in the design dept, especially the rear tailight cluster...

ik :(

Yeah totally. It looks more like a HRV than a CRV now. :(

The interior looks nice except for the location of the gear shift. Honestly, the new RAV4 looks more integrated externally.

I find it more convenient.

The interior looks nicer than the new Rav4. However, the exterior of the Rav4 is miles ahead - looks nicer and more integrated. I guess in the end it's risky to buy something that's going to be built in Thailand for the first time. I'll stick to Japanese built anytime. Perhaps that's the reason why the Corolla and the Mazda3 are still outselling the Civic.

hahaha...
cos honda wants to leave the potential modifications to the tuners out there. furthermore, leaving some room for mugen to make some improvements (remembering that mugen is the official tuning company for honda)
and also probably, not everyone likes modified cars
