Any recommendations for a good clutch (not the best, as my wallet unfortunately is quite...empty  ), and also a good workshop in sydney to get it fitted?

hey mate..

best place to go is GP Garage @ bexley in sydney..

call 9567 0233 and ask for george..

go for either a daikin/exedy heavy duty or a PBR std replacement

these guys fitted my Exedy 4 puck brass button and i couldn't be happier..

tell them that sam with the integra sent you and you will be looked after..

Also try Hannys performance in Smithfield (number should be in the whitepages). Most Honda owners already know about Hannys.

Ask for Robert who's in charge there. I'd recommend a Daiken sports clutch. You can't go wrong with it.

hey wynode...

robert actually got me my short engine!

you will find hannys can be a bit picky as to what cars they will service and modify..i.e: they wont touch cars which have been previously touched wether it be owner mods or another workshops doing....best idea is just to speak to robert..(they charge a bit too :()

another notable mention is "Good Performance Centre" which boast an ex-mugen mechanic from japan (charlie)...these guys can do anything to any honda (or jap car for that matter) and fit whatever you feel like putting between the strut towers!

yeh...hanny's is good...very pedantic about mods...but they do a really good job

Where's this GP Garage in Bexley champ? That's my hood! I need a quality clutch very soon for our ride. Do they supply performance clutches, or just standard replacement's?

So what would be the point of seeing this guy?

Jnr Teggy

he will modify it if you qualify...

to qualify...your honda must be stock standard...and know someone on the 'inside'

Qualify? Who's gonna bother when they can just go to another shop where there money will be feverishly accepted.

as far as im concerned he has a WEALTH of knowledge about honda's...he will modify/install etc...but he constantly reminds the customer to stop...which ultimately falls into you anyway.

He is very good at what he does.

cheers

you mean it took him(charlie) more than 3 week to swap an engine?<laffz>

anyway if you say that charlie is ex-mugen then he is, coz i ain't wish to go into senseless debate becoz i bet you r starting to mod ur car only very recently or maybe in the last years or so.

as far as i know, anyone can claim that they are from somewhere(i don't care). but for sure charlie used to work for hanny. let's just say my folks know robert too well.

let just say if you know robert well enough , you'd know that he built one hell of a car b4. won't tell you the rest or the history. maybe if you probe this with peter at hanny. you'd know the rest.

i must agreed that he(robert) has wealth of knowledge. and he is not any other mechanic that do stuff for money.
:)
