i dont know if this is the right place to post....can be moved if needed.

anyway i have a 1995 grenada black integra gsi and recently paint on the roof and the bonnet has been wearing down to the primer.....so all i want to know is an estimate price i could be paying if i get panel-beaters or spraypainters to do the job for me (btw the whole bonnet and all of the roof will be done). ive experimented with the spray can business (to prevent the rust)...but the finish isnt that great so i would like a professional job.

im located in northern melbourne so if someone can reccommend me to a certain place plz PM me coz the problem is gettin out of control :(
thanks
solitz

I had the same problem with my EK. Mainly on the roof. From the rear window down to the front in 2 lines...

Cost me just over $250 to get resprayed back to original color. I'd assume it'd be about the same for your roof and maybe allow about $350 for the bonnet.

Of course this depends on the extent of the fading. Mine was pretty severe (most of the roof was just white)

Anyway, I hope this helps.

Ray.

did the respray include like a full bake?...(or what ever it is)
the fading is pretty bad on the roof and did the quality of the respray turn out ok?

thanks

That was full bake. All I did was sand back the roof for them. Otherwise the quote was about $400.

No worries. Sorry I can't help more. Do you have any pics of the roof and bonnet? Send them to me on rayala@bigpond.com and I will have a better idea of the sort of costs you will be looking at.

Full proper respray from shop:
Bonnet, roughly 300 (2pac paint)
Roof, roughly 300 (2pac paint)
Basically allow for about 600ish dollars for the full job to be done.
Should not take longer than 2-3 days :)

Damn Q_ball have prices gone up in the last 3-4 years?

2-3 days depenends on the panel shop/how busy they are, and how much prep work they have to do on the car.

After spraying, don't wax for 2 months to let the paint de-gas.
