Hey guys...

I have EM1....and I am finding that its not good on fuel. On a full thank the most I can get is around 360's. This worries quite a bit. Is there a solution to this?

Also I find the fuel meter is playing up. especially down to the last 1/4. It goes up and down so I really dont know how much petrol I really have.
Any possible solutions?

Thanks

The meter isn't always accurate.

I go till the light first comes on......then I know I have another 60 odd k's left.

well with the meter

if depends on the fuel consumption at the very momnet..

the meter will continue to adjust it level as the rate of petrol ur engine sucks in is different at various engine speeds[/quote]

just wondering isn't it a bad thing to run ur petrol down to the light? doesn't that increase the chance of ur engine sucking in a the crap at the bottom of ur fuel tank. just curious i'm not saying what u recommended was wrong.

Not true

you'l find your car will take ages to go thru the first half tank ... it will flow down the meter steadily

but below half a tank, it mucks up a bit and goes up and down

this is because the fuel sensor is on one side of the tank [usually the front i think] so with inclines etc. your petrol will slop to one side of the tank mostly, hence if the sensor is on the other side it will drop you level of petrol down. and it takes a little while to correct itself once your on the flat.

not much you can do about this ...
